Job Title: Korean <-> English Interpreter

Language on Demand, Inc. (LOD) is a government contracting firm located in Northern Virginia (United States) that offers a full range of language translation, interpretation, bilingual staffing, and related services.

Location: Work to be performed remotely in the South Korea

Schedule: As needed on a per-project basis

Description: LOD is seeking an experienced and professionally qualified translator to provide Korean-to-English and English-to-Korean language translation services to support VARIOUS U.S. NAVY, MARINE CORPS, ARMY AND AIR FORCE BASES AND FACILITIES THROUGHOUT NAVFAC FAR EAST AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY.

Interpreter

Duties and Responsibilities:
⬩ Meetings may include conference calls, site visits, and public meetings. The specific field of interpretation is coordinated in advance.
⬩ Interpreters may be asked to translate documents during interpretation services. This is not always required and only a translation of up to 2,500 words may be required.

Qualifications:
ㆍ Possess native-level fluency in Korean (spoken and written) and fluency in English (spoken and written)
ㆍ Minimum of 3 years of professional simultaneous interpretation and translation experience
ㆍ Minimum bachelors’ degree with relevant educational background
ㆍ Possess the ability to capture and convey language register and cultural nuances to the target language reader/audience

Compensation:
⬩ Please submit your KR<-> ENG Interpretation rate per hour along with the reviewing rate by filling out the 

table below.
