About the Role

We¡¯re seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Manager of International Sales & Key Accounts to support Soko Glam¡¯s global growth as an independent contractor based in South Korea. This role will lead efforts to expand and nurture our retail presence by developing new strategic partnerships and managing key global accounts.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is proactive, collaborative, and thrives in a fast-paced, nimble environment. You¡¯ll work independently while partnering cross-functionally with global stakeholders and brand partners to drive meaningful growth for Soko Glam¡¯s B2B and wholesale channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute B2B sales strategies focused on expanding Soko Glam¡¯s global retail footprint, with a core focus on K-beauty.

  • Identify, engage, and secure new retail and distribution partners across key international markets.

  • Manage and grow existing wholesale accounts and retail relationships with excellence.

  • Represent Soko Glam¡¯s brand and portfolio of Korean partners in business development and account meetings, both virtually and in-person.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, merchandising, operations) to ensure account success and operational readiness, leveraging strong project management skills to coordinate activities, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of key initiatives. Maintain meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in all aspects of account management and reporting.

  • Deliver clear and timely updates to the Senior Director of Business Development; prepare account performance summaries and market insights, utilizing analytical skills to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

  • Travel domestically within South Korea and internationally as needed to support meetings, brand events, and partner visits.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in international B2B sales, account management, or business development, ideally within the beauty or consumer goods space.

  • Extensive network of contacts within the Korean beauty industry, including strong relationships with key decision-makers at leading K-beauty brands and retailers.

  • Deep knowledge of Korean beauty trends, brands, products, and retail ecosystem.

  • Proven ability to independently manage sales pipelines and deliver growth through strategic partnerships.

  • Strong project management and communication skills; highly organized and responsive.

  • Comfortable working independently while managing multiple deadlines and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and financial reports to inform strategic decisions and identify opportunities for growth. Exceptional attention to detail is critical for accurate reporting and effective account management.

  • Bilingual proficiency: Fluency in both Korean and English required.

  • Familiarity with working in global, cross-cultural environments.

  • Experience in startup or fast-growth environments strongly preferred.

Additional Notes

This is an independent contractor role. The selected contractor will operate with autonomy and discretion in how work is completed, while remaining responsible for fulfilling agreed-upon deliverables and timelines. While Soko Glam may propose general collaboration windows to facilitate communication with internal stakeholders and external partners, the contractor retains full control over their schedule.

The contractor will also:

  • Submit a monthly invoice for services rendered, in accordance with the scope of work and hours mutually agreed upon.

  • Not be subject to performance evaluations, annual reviews, or other assessments typically associated with an employment relationship.

  • Not be eligible for employee benefits, including paid leave, severance, health insurance, or retirement contributions.

  • Utilize their own tools, equipment, and resources in the performance of services, unless otherwise agreed upon for operational efficiency (e.g., the use of a company email address for brand and communication consistency).

This position is classified as an independent contractor engagement and does not constitute an employment relationship under the Labor Standards Act of South Korea.
