PRIMARY FUNCTION:Oversee the research, initiation, evaluation, development, and follow-through of new product launches for Global on HQ perspective. Value up on derma skin care brand perspective, establish 3 years innovation strategy. Exhibit strong understanding for the technologies, ingredients, claim related clinical and sensory test as well as global consumers and competitive products. Based on knowledges of formula, safety, stability, and regulation, developing new product with credibility and reputation for global market. Job Description Entrepreneurship for Innovation- Base on deeply understanding innovative technologies and ingredient information as well as market trend and consumer insight, build up innovation strategy that align with brand priorities and strategic goals
- Oversee and manage all key milestones of new product launches adhering to strict timelines. This includes conceptualizing new product ideas, developing strong claim and considering complicated global regulation.
Scientific/Technical excellence- Effectively communicate technology/ scientific information to cross functional teams such as Copy, Marketing, Creative, Education.
- Evaluates all new submissions and reformulations from R&D and vendors.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant information regarding the marketplace, and present comprehensive evaluations of all pertinent competitive products, ingredients, and technologies.
Collaborative leadership for innovation- Work closely with global R&D centers (Safety, Stability, Regulation) and 3rd party manufacturers on new formulations, technologies, and consumer insights/ trends.
- Works closely with Packaging to provide clear direction on formulation aspects such as ingredients, actives, viscosity, color, as well as formula limitations.
- Work closely with Clinical Testing Team to create testing protocol for claims support.
- Work closely with Consumer Testing Team for sensory study, which includes reviewing questionnaires, writing concept statements, and managing sample requirements
Creativity inspired by consumers- Develops knowledge of consumers in all their diversity
- Proposes creative ideas or scientific concepts based on consumer insights
- Translates consumer/market insights into outstanding product performance goals
People Management- Goal Management: Regularly check the status of the goals of the team and each team member and makes them achieve the ultimate goals by continuous motivation and managing them.
- Own the responsibilities to make team members successful in their role by identified strength and weakness and designing some sufficient trainings to develop their capabilities
Qualifications Create innovation products and ensure the prompt availability of quality products for businesses that are safe and effective, suitable for mass production, and in line with the brand / category innovation strategy.Ensure launch commitments are met regarding lead times and cost. - Must have experience in Product development in HQ
- Need to have experience set up global launching strategy and development of new product on global perspective
- Preferential treatment for master¡¯s degree in relevant discipline to co-work with R&D
- Need to have strategic thinking skills to establish innovation plans
- Need to have deeply understanding of innovative ingredient, technology, and clinical test.
- Must be able to demonstrate strong communication skills with R&D personnel and affiliate teams as well as all levels of management of Marketing, Sales, Education, Packaging and Creative teams.
- Excellent product evaluation skills are essential.
