- 고용신분: 연구계약직

- 계약기간: 사업기간(최소 3년 이상) 내 1년 단위로 재계약 (근무평가 결과에 따라 재계약 여부 결정)

- 연봉: 경력 등에 따라 협의 후 책정

- 복리후생: 4대 보험, 퇴직연금 등

- 근무시간: 9시 ~ 18시 (주 5일제)

- 근무지: 포항(POSTECH). *희망시 교내 연구원 숙소 입주 신청 가능

7. 제출서류 반환안내

9. English Job Description 

Chemical/Materials Engineer (1 Position)

Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) is seeking an energetic, hands-on chemical analysis engineer under various programs with one of our business partners. Our business partner is a top-tier high tech multinational company.

 

This position, employed by POSTECH, will represent the university and be responsible for helping SMEs determine which training courses and equipment best suit their needs. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with partner’s engineers to identify and resolve technical challenges related to quality issues unique to SME support projects or other programs. Responsibilities include managing lab equipment and providing failure analysis services which includes destructive analysis and/or chemical/material characterization.

As necessary, the candidate assists the SMEs in registering for classes, lab time, or a consulting session with the partner’s engineers. From time to time, job responsibilities will include assisting fellow POSTECH team members and our business partner with special events offering tours of labs and equipment demonstrations. This person should be comfortable approaching and engaging with new SMEs on a daily basis.

 

Minimum Qualifications

•       3+ years of professional chemical and/or materials analysis experience

•       Proven expertise as a chemical and/or materials science or engineering

•       A degree in Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering; MSc or PhD is a plus

•       Skilled in performing measurement and analysis with ; Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GCMS) and/or Differential Scanning Calorimeters (DSC) and/or Raman Spectroscopy and/or Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR)

•       Fluency in Korean written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

•       Deep knowledge of chemical analysis and material characterization and tools

•       English written and oral communication skills

•       Presentation skills and experience

•       Effective communication skills for bridging technical content between external stakeholders and internal technical teams

•       Be able to work independently under high pressure and tight schedule

•       Strong work ethic and high integrity

•       Program/project management experience is a plus
