Your responsibilities
• Implement people planning strategy at the unit level, in alignment with principles and guidelines localised by the Country P&C team.
• Ensure compliance with IKEA employment standards, as well as legal and union requirements related to people planning in the unit.
• Contribute to the full people planning process – from forecasting to posting of draft schedules – ensuring scheduled hours reflect planned absences, and coordinate with department managers to finalise schedules that meet co-worker, customer, and business needs.
• Identify areas for improvement in the unit¡¯s people planning process, and escalate deviations to the Unit P&C Manager when scheduled or actual hours exceed the agreed financial framework.
• Ensure the people planning process enables talent development and supports an excellent and personal customer meeting.
• Collaborate with the recruiting manager and Unit P&C Generalist to ensure vacancies are filled with the appropriate contract types to support a great customer meeting.
• Build co-worker awareness and understanding of the people planning process through training, education, and ongoing support.
