- Propose and plan product assortments in collaboration with Central Merchandising, based on sales analysis, local market needs, and within the allocated financial budget.
- Monitor and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales data to maximize selling opportunities: develop effective merchandising stories, drive sales of slow-moving items, and promote best sellers based on analysis and store feedback
- Manage inventory levels effectively to optimize sales and support events/promotions through appropriate stock transfers and delivery monitoring. Collaborate closely with the local Inventory Analyst and Supply Chain teams on all stock- related matters (e.g., depth, specific store requirements)
- Maintain ongoing communication with store teams to gather feedback on products and customer responses, and provide summaries to local management and Central Merchandising for follow-up
- Prepare and distribute regular briefs and reports to ensure store managers and staff are well- informed about new products, merchandising guidelines, and sales performance
- Collaborate with Central Product Visual Merchandising, Local Visual Merchandising, and store team to propose product displays that attract customer interest and drive sales, taking a proactive and commercial approach while adhering to guidelines.
- For new store openings, define product allocations in coordination with Local Retail and Central Merchandising; ensure product availability with local Distribution Planning as the handover date approaches.
- Monitor competitor assortments by conducting regular market/store visits, creating trend reports, and delivering competitive analysis and insights
- Contribute to building a strong merchandising culture across all points of sale
