Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced U.S. Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Tricare Referral Liaison at the 51st Medical Group, Osan Air Force Base in South Korea. This position plays a vital role in facilitating TRICARE patient referrals between U.S. Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) and Host Nation hospitals.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the liaison for Tricare referrals between U.S. and Host Nation healthcare facilities.
• Ensure timely and accurate referral processing for TRICARE beneficiaries.
• Provide guidance to patients on referral processes, access to care, and TRICARE regulations.
• Collaborate with medical providers, administrative staff, and external hospital contacts.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations.
• Support the daily operations of the 51st Medical Group’s TRICARE Operations and Patient Administration (TOPA) section.

Minimum Qualifications

• License: Must possess and maintain a current, active, valid, and unrestricted U.S. Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  * Please note: International nursing licenses, including those from Korea, do not meet this requirement unless the candidate also holds a U.S. RN license.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration (official trans required).
• Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in referral management or liaison work between U.S. Military and Host Nation hospitals within the last 10 years.
• Language Skills: Fluency in both spoken and written English and Korean is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior work experience on U.S. military installations or within TRICARE systems.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and DoD medical administrative processes.
• Cultural fluency and communication skills in multinational environments.

Employment Terms

• Period of Performance: 15 Sep 2025 – 14 Sep 2026 (base year), with four one-year option periods
• Duty Location: Onsite at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea

  * 한국 또는 기타 국가의 간호사 면허만으로는 지원 자격이 되지 않습니다. 반드시 미국 주(State)에서 발급된 유효한 RN 면허를 보유해야 합니다.
• 간호학, 보건의료행정, 또는 경영학 분야 학사 이상 (공식 성적표 제출 필수)
• 최근 10년 이내 미군 병원(MTFs)과 호스트 국가 병원 간 의뢰/연계 업무 유경험자 (최소 3년 이상)
• 영어 및 한국어 모두 유창하게 구사할 수 있어야 함 (말하기 및 문서 작성 포함)

우대사항

• 미군 시설 또는 TRICARE 시스템 내 근무 경험
• HIPAA 및 DoD 의료 규정에 대한 이해
• 다문화 환경에서의 원활한 커뮤니케이션 능력

계약 조건

• 계약기간: 2025년 9월 15일 ~ 2026년 9월 14일 (1년 기본 계약, 이후 1년 단위로 최대 4년 연장 가능)
• 근무지: 경기도 평택시 인근 주한미군 오산 공군기지 내 (51의무단)
