About the Role
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Commercial Finance and Analysis Manager is a critical role in the organization, working across sales, marketing and operations to drive business performance.
Reporting into the Senior Commercial Finance and Analysis Manager, the role is responsible for monitoring Volume and P&L performance against targets, and then working alongside the business to develop forecasts, highlighting and helping to manage any risks and opportunities that arise. Beyond this, the role will be required to provide a commercial perspective on a broad range of topics as new opportunities and challenges arise as a result of the rapid growth of the business.
A strong commercial understanding is therefore essential, as well as the ability to adapt their approach to work with both finance and non-finance colleagues. This is a hands-on role, which requires an individual who is able to pivot between day-to-day details, as well as a longer term strategic outlook.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Reporting, Analysis & Planning
- Oversee the implementation of weekly sales volume reporting
- Work alongside Financial Controller to produce monthly P&L reports, with commentary on Sales Volumes down to Trading Profit.
- Identify and communicate movements and trends to the business.
- Lead in the development and submission of rolling forecasts, identifying and communicating any risks or opportunities vs target;
- Lead the Dyson Korea annual planning cycle, including supporting marketing in product
Decision Support
- Use insights from internal and external sources to influence and enhance business operations;
- Drive commercial and business performance culture through the development and reporting for key performance indicators;
- Play a key role in driving efficiency and profitability, including supporting decisions around customer terms, promotional spend, channel strategy and after-sales care;
People & Relationships
- Develop strong market and group ties to ensure a collaborative approach to improve ways of working across all finance areas (business/process/systems)
- Actively lead and contribute to the broader Group/Global Agenda, driving new ways of working to support the development of the broader finance strategy/
- Create strong working relationships within Finance as well as across other functions, and at all levels of the organisation;
- Seek out opportunities to pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role.
- Lead & Motivate the wider Finance team to develop them into tomorrows¡¯ finance leaders, and to create a high performance culture.
About You
Skills
- Strong communication skills in both Korean & English, with ability to present information (both written and oral) in a clear, concise manner to all levels of the organisation.
- Commercially astute, with a meticulous attention to detail;
- Tireless Problem Solver to face day-to-day problems, with an innovative approach to problem solving;
- Self-Starter, who sees things through to completion;
- Ability to influence at all levels;
- Strong team player capable of building and motivating teams and colleagues;
- Relevant degree qualification and qualification from recognised Accountancy body.
Experience
- 10+ years¡¯ experience, ideally with a strong consumer brand in an MNC environment;
- Experience in business partnering with sales, marketing and supply chain functions;
- Experience in driving and managing change;
