Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Senior Speacialist, Health & Safety role focuses on the day-to-day implementation of health measures, executing accident prevention activities, and ensuring compliance with OHS management protocols as legally appointed Health Officer. This role involves working directly on the ground to ensure a safe working environment and support the company¡¯s overall accident prevention goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation of OHSMS (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) at the operational level across all departments and contracted businesses
- Provision of relevant professional support to other departments for preventing any occupational injury or illness while conducting any tasks
- Implementation of duties of Health Officer according to the legislation (Occupational Safety & Health Act)
- Duties that an occupational safety and health committee or a labor-management council has deliberated on and determined, and duties prescribed in health and safety management regulations and rules of employment;
- Assisting, guiding and advising on selecting appropriate products in purchasing protectors related to health, among the machinery, etc. subject to safety certification or the machinery, etc. subject to voluntary safety verification;
- Assisting, guiding and advising on risk assessment prescribed in Article 36 of the Act;
- Assisting, guiding and advising on posting or keeping material safety data sheets prepared pursuant to Article 110 of the Act;
- Duties of occupational medicine doctors prescribed in Article 31 (1) (limited to where a health officer falls under subparagraph 2 of attached Table 6);
- Assisting, guiding and advising on formulating health education plans for the relevant place of business and conducting health education;
- Assisting, guiding and advising on inspecting facilities, such as general ventilators and local air exhausters, used inside the place of business, and the technical improvement of working methods;
- Routinely inspecting and guiding the relevant place of business, and presenting opinions on the measures to be taken;
- Investigating and analyzing the causes of industrial accidents, and technically assisting, guiding and advising on preventing their recurrence;
- Assisting, guiding and advising on maintaining, managing and analyzing statistics on industrial accidents;
- Assisting, guiding and advising on implementing such affairs concerning health as determined by the Act, or by any order issued under the Act;
- Preparing and preserving a record on performance of duties;
- Other matters prescribed by the Minister of Employment and Labor concerning managing operations and working environments related to health.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in Occupational Health & Safety Management (preferably in retail, construction, or related industries) is preferred
- English good (written and oral) is preferred
- A candidate shall have at least one of the following qualifications;
- Bachelor's degree or higher (Majored in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health or related fields)
- A national certification holder which is one of the described below;
