| About the RoleAs a Junior Category & Merchant Growth Operations, you will support the development of Gmarket O2O’s product assortment and seller ecosystem.
This role focuses on executing category operations and supporting seller collaboration, working closely with senior team members to learn how category strategy, seller operations, and assortment management drive business growth.
| Key Responsibilities
※ This is a junior-level position, where the role holder will work closely with senior team members and gradually take on responsibilities.
■ Category & Assortment Operations Support
- Support definition and operation of category-level product assortments (e.g., fresh, pantry, beauty, FMCG).
- Assist in managing product selection, pricing references, and assortment rotation.
- Support curation of bestseller lists, seasonal assortments, and simple bundle concepts (e.g., “Family Dinner Kit”).
■ Seller Collaboration & Operations
- Support communication with sellers (both large and small) for assortment and promotion coordination.
- Assist in joint planning tasks such as inventory alignment, promotion schedules, and product onboarding.
- Help organize seller-related materials and operational guidelines.
■ Seller Enablement & Performance Monitoring
- Support distribution and usage of seller SaaS tools, playbooks, and training materials.
- Assist in monitoring basic seller performance indicators (e.g., stock availability, ratings, fulfillment speed).
- Help summarize issues and improvement points for internal discussion.
■ Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work with category, operations, and product teams to support day-to-day execution.
- Prepare basic reports and operational summaries related to category and seller performance.
| Qualifications
※ This role is intended for early-career candidates and does not require prior ownership of category strategy.
- 0–3 years of experience (new graduates are welcome)
- Strong interest in e-commerce, category management, or marketplace operations
- Basic understanding of how product assortment and sellers impact customer experience
- Comfortable working with numbers and operational data
- Clear communication skills and willingness to work with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in either English or Chinese as a working language
- (Preferred) Internship, project, or coursework related to e-commerce, retail, or operations
- (Preferred) Interest or exposure to FMCG, grocery, or O2O services
- (Preferred) Experience using Excel, Google Sheets, or basic dashboards
