A. Overall Purpose of the Job

The Security Specialist, Korea is responsible for the coordination, delivery and quality of intelligence and assistance provided in South Korea primarily to Korean-speaking clients operating globally, and secondarily to inbound clients to South Korea.

B. Key Responsibility
• Provide delivery of high quality written and verbal Korean and English language of security and crisis situation update, analysis and management advice focusing on customer expectation.
• Understand major escalation promptly and properly respond to event-based emergencies (natural hazards, provocations of terrorism or war etc.)
• Maintain awareness of the regional security situation through monitoring ISOS alerts, analysis-reports and open sources
• Support the integration with global Security Intelligence & Assistance platform to ensure appropriate situational awareness of global issues affecting Korean speaking clients through daily interaction with the Regional Security Centre
• Scan for, report and escalate security or disruption issues affecting clients employees in line with global reporting thresholds and guidance from APAC Regional Security Centre’s associated leadership

C. Critical Qualities

• Typically 3+ year relevant experience in security or intelligence operations in military police, government, NGO, journalism or private sector roles.
• Strong knowledge of the security risk analysis and management
• Excellent written and verbal Korean and English
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Meticulous attention to detail
