The ASEAN-Korea Centre is currently seeking an Assistant Officer of ASEAN and Korean nationality with proven experience to organize and implement the programs of the ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC).

The ASEAN Korea Centre (AKC) is an intergovernmental organization established with the aim to promote economic and socio-cultural exchanges among Korea and the ten ASEAN member states. AKC implements various projects to promote mutual understanding and cooperation between the two regions through increasing trade volume, investment promotion, invigorating tourism and cultural exchange. Expected date of employment

 Assistant Officer of Information and Data Unit 

(IDU) 

- PR (Public Relations) related program development and implementation

̵      Manage AKC¡¯s SNS channels (mainly focused on YouTube along with Facebook, Instagram) and create contents

̵       Draft press release in Korean and English

 

Program support

̵     Develop and implement academic and information exchange programs of the Unit (Forums, Workshops, etc.)


 

* The Assistant Officer will also be expected to provide general administrative and logistical support within the Unit as required.

* Information and Data Unit (IDU) is in charge of Public Relations (media and digital communication, website and online publications) and P2P/Academic Exchanges (Next Generation programs including youth related activities and Information Exchange programs including academic seminars etc.)


(2)  Qualifications

      Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Language, Communication or a related field from an accredited academic institution. Master's degree in a related field is preferred.

      More than 1 year of relevant experience in PR & Communication or related fields in international (inter-governmental) organizations, national/international institutions, government organizations and/or private companies is preferred.

      Fluent communication skills in both English and Korean

      Should follow under Article 33 of the Public Officials Act and not be disqualified from overseas travel.


Employment Conditions

    Fixed-term contract of 1 year

*  The contract may be renewed on a yearly basis; however, the total employment period shall not exceed two years.

*   Probation period: 3 months

    Gross Salary per annum: KRW 40,000,000 and above

*  The above salary includes monthly lunch and transportation allowance.

*   The salary can be changed depending on the qualifications and prior work experiences, in accordance with  Centre's regulation.

     Benefits: 4 Major insurances, Welfare card, Club activity, etc.

    Starting date: 1 April 2026 (negotiable.)

    Official Working hours: 09:00-18:00, Lunch hour: 12:00-13:00

Selection Process

Results of each round will be informed to the concerned candidate(s) individually.

      1st  round: Document review

*    Indication of an English proficiency score, officially certified with validity of 2 years, is mandatory.

        2nd  round: On-site English writing test and In-person Interview

        3rd round: Health screening (only for those who have passed the 1st and 2nd round of the

selection process)
