The Wholesale Manager at Decathlon Korea acts as a 'Business Owner' responsible for driving business expansion in the local market. This role involves establishing and executing strategies for online marketplaces and sport-specialty reseller channels. By optimizing Decathlon's product portfolio for the Korean market and taking full ownership of the P&L, the manager will lead sustainable and profitable growth.
[Strategy & P&L Management]
Establish long-term growth strategies for wholesale business (Online & Specialty Resellers) tailored to the Korean market.
Full P&L Accountability: Manage revenue targets, optimize margin structures, and ensure cost efficiency across all wholesale channels.
Set pricing policies and distribution guidelines for each channel based on market trends and competitor analysis.
[Sales Execution & Product Optimization]
Product Curation & Optimization: Identify and propose "Hero Products" from Decathlon¡¯s extensive SKU range that best fit each channel's (Coupang, Specialty Resellers, etc.) characteristics.
Client Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations, business terms, and partnership management with Coupang and sport-specific specialty resellers.
Supply Chain Optimization: Forecast demand and collaborate with clients to maintain optimal inventory levels and streamline the supply process.
[Channel Operations & Expansion]
Maximize performance and optimize operations on major e-commerce platforms, including Coupang.
Identify and recruit new specialty resellers for various sports categories (e.g., Tennis , Camping, Cycling, Running) to build a robust business pipeline.
5 to 7 years of relevant experience in Wholesale Sales, Key Account Management (KAM), or Distribution Strategy.
Strategy to Execution: Proven track record of designing business strategies based on market data and delivering tangible results in the field.
Execution & MD Mindset: Capability to curate extensive product lines to meet market needs and manage complex supply processes.
Communication: Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills to lead complex business discussions.
