We, DC Seoul runs service operations in 24,000 sqm facilty, located in Incheon, Korea. As central distribution center(CDC) for Volvo Construction Equeipment(VCE), we deliver our services to dealers and regional distribution centers(RDC) all around world beyond Korea and also as RDC for Volvo Trucks and Volvo Construction Equipment brands deliver to dealers in Korea market for both brands. Having 2 roles as CDC and RDC, we  build strong connections from dealers to suppliers throughout end to end value supply chain and work closely with our business partners in the brands and group functions as well as colleagues around the globe in the Volvo Group. We constantly aim for sustainable performance in the flow (regarding Safety,Quality, Deliveries, Cost, Environment, and People etc.) through continuous improvement culture and finally achieve customer success as a primary goal.

The Position: Logistics Engineer

We are seeking for a values-driven leader who will drive optimization initiatives for warehouse layouts & spare parts storage and internal logistics flow through lean methodologies and ensure that our operations run at high efficiency while achieving the stepwise ergonomic & safety standards for our workforce.

You will be part of Lyon & International regional network. This role will be reporting to the Head of DC Seoul.

Main Activities and Responsibilities

1.     Layout engineering and space optimization

o   Plan and execute logistics engineering activities regarding E2E internal logistics flows — from receiving dock to shipping — ensuring
     safety, productivity, and efficiency

o   Optimize warehouse layout to maximize storage density and streamline traffic flow

o   Study and implement diverse storage solutions, handling equipment, tools with support from Lead DC team

o   Implement and maintain slotting strategy model to ensure high-velocity parts located in the "Golden Zone" to maximize efficiency,
     minimize travel time and optimize space utilization.

o   Produce 2D and 3D layouts as flow modelling and simulation tools, where applicable.

2.     Process & Ergonomic improvement

o   Perform internal benchmarking within Volvo Group to identify process improvement

o   Lead or participate Kaizen events utilizing Lean principles, Value Stream Mapping tool (VSM) to eliminate waste (Muda), to increase
     productivity in receiving, picking, and shipping processes.

o   Improve/Design packing stations and picking zones that adhere to Volvo group ergonomic standards and reduce repetitive strain.

3.     New Technologies & Automation

o   Bring innovation and automation to logistics processes through the application of digital tools, analytics, and data-driven decision making.

o   Develop and maintain automated dashboard to visualize and optimize space utilization, material flow.

4.     Project & Collaboration

o   Execute or represent the logistics area in projects and follow up project execution in terms of safety, quality, cost and leadtime.  

o   Contribute to or prepare investment business cases and present to validation committees.

o   Collaborate closely with Team Leaders, Operations support, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment cross teams and smooth
     communication between all relevant teams

1.   Proven Operational Expertise with solid experience from 8 to 10 years in logistics operations, supply chain engineering, or manufacturing, with a strong understanding of end‑to‑end workflows and operational excellence.

2.    Practical experience with Lean and Continuous Improvement.

3.    Hands‑On Leadership on the Shop Floor to understand real workflows and drive improvement actions

4.    Project Management experience ensuring successful delivery through structured planning and problem‑solving

5.    Self-motivated learning with curiosity towards new knowledge and better ways of working

6.    Interpersonal & Team Facilitation Skills to collaborate effectively toward shared operational goals

7.    Cross‑Functional & Global Mindset to works comfortably with colleagues across diverse functions, cultures, and geographies

8.    Communication Excellence in Korean and English

Education and Technical Skills

1.   Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

2.   Strong data literacy with experience analyzing & visualizing large datasets using Power BI, SQL, and Python

3.   Understanding project management fundamentals

4.   Capability to produce 2D/3D layout design and flow simulation (e.g., AutoCAD)

5.   Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

6.   Proficiency in Office 365
